Introducing the DC Landlord Association’s Advisory Board
The DC Landlord Association is excited to announce the formation of the DC Landlord Association Advisory Board—a new initiative aimed at bringing together key voices in the housing industry to discuss, debate, and advocate for policies that impact both landlords and tenants in Washington, DC.
Why an Advisory Board?
The rental housing market in DC is constantly evolving, and with it come new challenges and opportunities for landlords, tenants, policymakers, and community stakeholders. The Advisory Board will serve as a collaborative platform where these groups can come together to share insights, address pressing issues, and propose policy solutions that will be presented to local government officials, courts, and regulatory agencies.
Who Can Get Involved?
The Advisory Board will consist of individuals representing a variety of perspectives, including:
Landlords – Both small and large property owners.
Tenants – Advocating for fair housing policies.
Community Leaders – Bringing neighborhood concerns to the table.
Legal & Policy Experts – Providing guidance on housing laws and regulations.
Business & Financial Professionals – Offering insights into property investments and economic trends.
Government Representatives – Helping to align board recommendations with DC’s housing policies.
What to Expect?
Members of the Advisory Board will engage in discussions on important issues such as landlord-tenant relations, housing affordability, rental regulations, and property management best practices. The board will meet to analyze challenges and craft practical solutions that can be shared with DC government agencies, the courts, the Council, and the Mayor’s Office.
How to Get Involved
Interested in shaping the future of DC’s housing landscape? The Advisory Board has opened applications for those who wish to participate. Approved applicants will serve a one-year term, contributing their expertise and perspectives to influence policy decisions that affect the entire landlord-tenant community.
